Mr Cuthbertson is a Chartered Accountant and long time investor in the IT and Communications space. Before joining the Board he was a partner at KPMG.
Terry is a Director and Chairman of Austpac Resources N.L., South American Iron & Steel Ltd, Malachite Resources Ltd and a Non-executive director of Mint Wireless Ltd.
Mr Fung is a successful entrepreneur, and a co-founder of Symbio Networks Pty Ltd (acquired by the MNF Group in 2012).
Andy is a highly experienced telecommunications executive with a wealth of global connections. Prior to founding Symbio Networks he was the Director of Business Development for Lucent Technologies.
Executive Director & CEO
Mr Sugo is current Group CEO and the co-founder of the MNF Group.
During his tenure as CEO, the MNF Group has grown to become Australia’s largest IP Voice network and established its reputation for innovation and technical capability on the global stage.
Mr Boorne is a serial entrepreneur, combining extensive technical expertise with deep commercial and corporate experience.
Michael has founded start-up businesses such as Sprit Modems and Mitron Pty Ltd, and is a director and committee member of numerous private companies and charitable foundations. He was previously a non-executive director of Netcomm Ltd.
Mr Stewart is an experienced CEO and successful entrepreneur with more than 30 years in management and business leadership roles.
David has extensive experience in the ICT industry and has been recognised for his significant and valuable contribution to the Australian communications industry with the presentation of the Communications Ambassador 2016 award.
Ms Pemberton’s career as an executive focused on technology, technology intensive businesses and financial services in a variety of C-level roles.
Since transitioning to a Non-Executive Director career, Gail has amassed extensive experience as a Chair and as a Director of both ASX listed and global companies and has participated in several IPOs, acquisitions, divestments and capital raisings.
Chief Technology Officer
John Boesen was appointed in June 2018 as Chief Technology Officer of MNF Group to transform the technology team and lead the modernisation of the technology stack to drive the business’s next phase of growth, focused on global expansion of its voice network and software platforms.
John has led multi-disciplinary technology and creative teams over the past 20 years at executive and senior management levels, previously serving as the Chief Information Officer and prior Chief Technology Officer of William Hill Australia, as well as the Chief Operating Officer of Etherstack plc.
A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), John also holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of New South Wales.
Chief Product Officer
Ritsa Hime currently leads the Products Business Unit comprising of Product Management, all Delivery functions, Group Marketing and Customer Experience. The Products Business Unit was formed in 2019 with clear objectives to deliver strategic, corporate and product initiatives across the group with customer focus embedded throughout the innovation processes.
Ritsa has been with the MNF Group since early 2015 where she joined as the Group’s Chief Operations Officer leading all the customer facing operations teams.
Ritsa has diverse experience in the telecommunications sector spanning more than 20 years in Operations, Sales and Engineering roles supported by a Degree in Electrical Engineering (Telec. Major). Prior to joining MNF Group, Ritsa worked at Optus in the Wholesale and Satellite Division for over 8 years in two key roles.
Chief Executive - Wholesale
Jon Cleaver was appointed Chief Executive – Wholesale in November 2019. In this role, he is responsible for all wholesale domestic and global businesses and is leading the company’s expansion into new countries and executing MNF Group’s four-dimensional growth strategy.
Jon previously headed up the Sales and Business development teams as General Manager of Symbio Networks from 2011 to 2013. Following the successful acquisition of Symbio into MNF Group, Jon became the Group Chief Commercial Officer, leading the Sales, Products, Carrier and Regulatory teams of both the Direct and Wholesale businesses. In this, role Jon was responsible for integrating the acquisitions of iBoss, TNZI and Telcoinabox, the expansion into NZ and Singapore domestic markets and overseeing the launch of both the Connexus and Pennytel brands.
Having been at the forefront of the industry for over 15 years, at both executive and senior management level, Jon was previously a Senior Account Manager at Telstra Wholesale before joining MNF Group. He is a graduate of the University of Sheffield.
Chief Executive - Direct
Iain Falshaw joined the MNF Group as part of the Telecoinabox acquisition in December 2018, initially assisting with the integration into MNF Group and then being appointed as Chief Executive– MNF Direct in November 2019. Iain is responsible for the Group’s direct customers across the Consumer, SMB and Enterprise business units, as well as the Express Virtual Meetings brand.
He has over 30 years of experience in the Telecoms industry. During that time, he has held several senior management roles including Chief Commercial Officer of Inabox Group, CFO & Company Secretary of Aggregato Global, Managing Director of ACN Pacific and was a Non-Executive Director of the Telecoms Industry Ombudsman (TIO).
Iain has a BA Hons in Business from Robert Gordons University, Aberdeen, is a Chartered Management Accountant and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
Chief Financial Officer
Chris Last has had a successful and diverse career in finance, having specialised in chartered accounting, treasury, investor relations, corporate finance and senior finance disciplines over the past 30 years in Australia and overseas.
Prior to joining MNF Group as their Chief Financial Officer in September 2019, he was Chief Financial Officer of NetComm Wireless, and before that, Chief Financial Officer of Blackmores. In addition, Mr Last was CFO and Company Secretary at the Heart Research Institute and has held senior roles at both Unilever Australasia and Richemont.
Chris holds a Chartered Management Accountancy qualification, is a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Management Services from the University of Warwick.
Helen Fraser joined MNF Group as its first in house counsel in 2012, bringing more than 20 years’ experience to the group from prior legal, contract management and leadership roles mostly in the technology, telecommunications and aerospace industries, including at Accenture, Optus, Lucent Technologies, ERG and Hawker Pacific.
As General Counsel, Helen heads up the Legal and Compliance Team at MNF and is also a committed executive sponsor of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Helen earned her Bachelor and Master of Laws from The University of Sydney and Bachelor of Arts (Asian Studies - Indonesian) from the Australian National University. Helen is also a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC).
Executive General Manager - Global
Andrew Tierney is Executive General Manager of TNZI, one of MNF Group’s wholesale brands that powers the capabilities of communication providers around the world. Andrew joined TNZI in 2010 as their Head of Asia Pacific Sales before the TNZI business was acquired by MNF Group in 2015.
Prior to joining MNF Group, Andrew lived and worked in Europe and Asia throughout his 25-year career in international telecommunications, most of which was spent in a variety of management roles for Telecom New Zealand.
Currently a board member of the ITW Global Leaders Forum, Andrew holds a Diploma in Business Administration and Management from Victoria University of Wellington and is a graduate of the Leadership and Management Development Programme at the University of Waikato.
